Participation on the rise for La Grande journée des petits entrepreneur in Bellechasse and Les Etchemins!

On Saturday, June 7, the creativity and enthusiasm of more than 350 young people lit up the markets of Bellechasse and Les Etchemins for La Grande journée des petits entrepreneurs. In seven municipalities in our region, these young people aged 5 to 17 took up the challenge of creating their own small businesses for an inspiring, dynamic, and colourful day!

With kiosks as varied as their passions (handcrafted candles, homemade pastries, artistic creations, gardening, and innovative services), these young people demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial spirit. The large crowds that turned out had the opportunity to discover real treasures and experience touching moments of exchange and pride.

This regional initiative is collectively supported by the SADC Bellechasse-Etchemins, the CJE des Etchemins, the Carrefour–employabilité et travail de rue, Développement économique Bellechasse, Etchemins RCM, Agir collectivement dans Bellechasse, and the Centre Formation Affaires. Together, they form the organizing committee, which joins forces to promote entrepreneurial spirit among young people, in collaboration with participating municipalities.

“Seeing so many young people get started, express themselves, sell their creations, and, above all, gain confidence in themselves is exactly why we support this initiative,” says Emmanuelle Pinel, local development and communications advisor at SADC Bellechasse-Etchemins.

This 12th regional edition features:

• 7 markets in the municipalities of Saint-Malachie, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Michel, Saint-Charles, Sainte-Justine, Saint-Benjamin, and Saint-Zacharie;
• More than 150 small businesses;
• More than 2,500 visitors mobilized to discover the next generation;
• A great success in local collaboration!

A warm thank you to all the host municipalities, families, volunteers, and partners who supported this extraordinary day. Thanks to you, our region continues to cultivate pride, creativity, and entrepreneurial daring among its youth.
