Supporting Icosa’s Growth Through the Digital Strategy Fund

Icosa inc. is reaching a new milestone in its growth with the upgrade of its IT infrastructure.

Founded in June 2022 by Mr. Labrecque, Icosa inc. was established with the mission of supporting SMEs in their product design projects. Over time, Mr. Labrecque identified a growing need for specialized expertise and technical guidance in the cabinetry industry.

Icosa inc. has developed expertise in digital design applied to the custom furniture and cabinet manufacturing sector. Using specialized software, the company optimizes furniture design and manages the complete production setup process. It provides clients with raw material takeoffs, optimized CNC machining programs, and all documentation required for the manufacturing and installation of furniture. Leaving clients ready to launch production immediately.

In response to growing demand, Mr. Labrecque hired a dedicated employee and relocated the company’s operations to a commercial facility, making an upgrade of the IT infrastructure essential.

“Our clients value the rigour of our production setup services for custom cabinetry and furniture, particularly for more complex projects such as childcare centres and schools. This has driven strong growth: it was time to bring someone on board, and our technology had to keep pace. We are now properly equipped to work as a team and support our clients even more effectively,” said Mr. Labrecque.

The support of SADC Bellechasse-Etchemins played a pivotal role in bringing this project to fruition, through the granting of $25,000 in financing under the Fonds Stratégie Numérique. It is worth noting that Mr. Labrecque has maintained a trusted relationship with the SADC since the founding of his business, having benefited early on from an initial $15,000 loan under the Stratégie Jeunesse program to launch the company.
