2025 Annual General Meeting

Saint-Léon-de-Standon, June 18, 2025

On Tuesday, June 17, the SADC Bellechasse-Etchemins held its annual general meeting. The event brought together members, partners, and entrepreneurs from across the region to review the past year and highlight the projects and services that make the region shine.

Over $1 million in financing and strategic support services

In its first year under the new five-year agreement with Canada Economic Development, the CFDC authorized $1,020,000 in loans, including $340,000 in new sectors that are now eligible. This financial support was accompanied by customized support services: more than 877 hours were devoted to follow-ups, diagnostics, action plans, and technical mandates aimed at strengthening the management capabilities of local businesses.

Targeted funds to address current issues

Two new funds were created this year:

These new strategies complement the Fonds Régulier and the Fonds Stratégie Jeunesse well-established levers that remain essential for supporting entrepreneurial growth in the region. Mélanie Carrier, President, explains that “All these funds allow the SADC to remain agile in an uncertain economic context and to offer solutions tailored to the needs of the community.”

Support that makes a difference: the example of Mont-Orignal

Among the testimonials shared at the meeting, that of the Mont-Orignal team eloquently illustrated the concrete impact of the SADC’s advisory services. The organization benefited from strategic support that enabled it to improve its efficiency and review its management, governance, and human resources practices.

Promising collective projects for the region

In addition to its support for businesses, the SADC continued its local economic development activities, notably through Synergie Bellechasse-Etchemins, projects related to immigration and sustainable development, and the Agir collectivement dans Bellechasse program. True to its role as a local catalyst, the SADC organized two of its flagship events this year, the Événement Inspirant and the Rendez-vous de l’entrepreneuriat, thereby enhancing the region’s appeal and dynamism.
